Video screen capture is the perfect way to get highly contextual feedback from any web page or design.
It's really easy to use and is a great way for customers to tell you exactly what they want without ever having to leave your website.
In this article we'll cover everything you need to know video screen capture with Userback.
Add video screen capture to your widget
To add the screen capture option to your widget, simply go to Widget Settings and turn on Video Feedback.

You can also change the time limit of each video feedback by dropping down the time limit option and select a new time limit. You can select between 1 and 5 minutes and once saved, each video feedback will be limited to that time.

And that's it! Now whenever someone clicks your feedback button, they will see the option to provide feedback with video screen capture.

Video screen capture is an optional add-on with your account. You can enable/disable it at any time in your Account Settings.
Using video screen capture to give feedback
To begin the screen capture, simply select "Start Recording".
This will prompt your browser's screen share options, which in Chrome looks something like this.

Screen Share Options
Your Entire Screen: Lets you record anything across your entire screen.
Application Window: Can only record across the tabs in your browser.
Chrome Tab: Can only record in the current tab of your browser.
When recording your screen, you should always be mindful of any private and sensitive information that you may not wish to be recorded. If you are unsure of the best screen sharing option, we recommend recording only the current tab of your browser.
After making your selection, you simply click "Share" to proceed.
This will start a 3 second countdown and the recording will then begin.
Recording Options
Mute: Use the microphone icon to mute and unmute whilst recording.
Pause: You can pause and restart your recording anytime by clicking the pause icon.
Stop: Click the stop icon when you are finished with your recording.
Submit Recording
When you have finished with your recording, the final step is to submit it.
If you wish, you can easily preview the recording by clicking on the thumbnail image. And when you are ready, just click "Send" to submit your video feedback.

Based on the length of your video, it may take a few seconds to submit your recording. So it's best to wait until you see the success screen before moving on or closing your browser.

Managing video screen capture feedback
To watch your video feedback, simply go to the Feedback page, locate your video and click "View Feedback".
This will open your video in the Feedback Viewer.

Using Bookmarks
If you'd like to tag a specific section in the video, simply click your mouse below the timeline to add a bookmark.
Bookmarks create a shortcut to a specific section in the video where you can also add a comment.
