When your client submits feedback on your web app or project, they're not always going to select the option to take a screenshot and annotate. The challenge with that, is you'll often lose context of what the customer was looking at, on the screen or what the specific screen looks like meaning you'll need to go and spend some additional time working it out.
Userback lets you automatically take a screenshot every time a customer submits feedback, regardless of whether or not they do it themselves. If the client selects to submit a screenshot, it will be used and if they don't, we'll provide one.
Enabling this feature is easy and can be done from the Widget menu, under the Additional Tweaks card. Simply enable the 'Always include a screenshot' option.
Feedback that has been submitted with an automatic screenshot will have a watermark in the feedback viewer. These screenshots will be identified by it so that you know which screenshots have been user generated vs automated. Here is the watermark of an automated screenshot.
How do I exclude elements from a screenshot?
Userback lets you protect your users' privacy by excluding elements from a screenshot. For excluded elements, the element itself (as well as any child elements) will be ignored by screenshot.
To exclude an element, you need to add the class .userback-ignore to the element you want to exclude. For example:
<input name="credit_card_number" type="text">
<input name="credit_card_expiry_date" type="text">
